Mutton Stew​


1. Mutton  -100 gm
2. Potato  -50 gm
3. Onion  -1/4 cup (small cubes)
4. Green chilly  -2 No.
5. Ginger  -1 small piece 
6. Curry leaves  - spring
7. Cinnamon stick  - 1 inch piece
8. Cardamom  - 2 No.
9. Cloves  - 2 No.
10. Pepper  - 1/2 t spoon
11. Coconut milk 
                   First Milk         - 1/2 cup
                 Second milk        -2 cup
12. Cashew nut  -10 gm
13. Salt  -to taste
14. Coconut oil   - 2 table spoons


Heat the coconut oil in a heavy bottomed sauce pan and add ingredients nos: 3 to 9 and stir fry. Increase the flame, add the mutton and stir fry for about 1 minute. Add the second coconut milk and bring to a boil and then simmer till the meat is half cooked. Add the potatoes, salt, pepper and cashew nuts and continue to simmer till the meat is tender and finally add the first coconut milk (1/2 cup) and boil. Serve hot.
