Rishiraj Singh may get posting in Home Ministry

Sulking Transport commissioner Rishiraj Singh may be given a posting in the home ministry, it is learnt.
Thiruvanathapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy held a meeting with Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala in this regard. Singh had expressed his desire to quit as transport commissioner following the controversy over the decision to make seat belts mandatory for passengers travelling in the rear seats of vehicles.
Singh had issued a circular making seat belt compulsory for passengers in the rear seats, but Transport Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan withdrew the circular.Singh had gone on leave as a mark of protest against the withdrawal of this circular.
