Named after a tribal leader Thommachen Kuruvinakunnel, who was washed away in this waterfall while crossing the river, these waterfalls drop about 1500 m into a stream in a lush green scenic setting. This splendid waterfall comes down in seven steps with a cascade and a pool at each step on the rugged, rocks of the Muvattupuzha river. And the difference between the first and the last fall is 500m. The roar of the falls can be heard even before reach it. This is also an ideal venue for adventure tourism because one have to undertake a trek that takes one to the top of the mountain, a nearly 12 kms climb.
